Sharebuy — An online platform for group buying and discount sharing.
Project Description
As the graduation project at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, this project tries to solve the problems of online shipping.
Client: School Project
Services: UI/UX
Period: Late 2018 - Early 2019
Problem Space
Many people love online shopping, but the high minimum order and expensive shipping fee, especially oversea shipping, have stopped many of them from using this service.
Retail stores launch promotion events, such as ‘buy more save more’ or ‘buy one get one free’, to attract customers. However, in many of the situations, customers need to purchase extra or unnecessary items in order to claim the discount .
Approach
Sharebuy, an online platform for group buying and discount sharing.
With this platform, users no longer need to pay overpriced oversea shipping, buy unnecessary items to claim discounts or free shipping.
It also offers packaging-free online shopping experiences to individuals, who enjoy shopping online but wish to have their packaging waste recycled properly.

0:15 - 0:24 Reading option on screen. Wanted to tape on the arrow, but it didn’t work ( interactive button too small )
0:24 - 0:32
0:33 - 0:34 While choosing the amount, wanted to choose the “+”, but it didn’t work ( mockup interactive button too small )
0:34 - 0:39
0:39 - 0:56 Reading text
StageC Wireframe
During the testing, users complained that the action of inputting the item numbers and delivery addresses for every user in the group is not convenient, and it might become a problem when there is a large group of users buying together.
Final wireframe
After serval attempts and some research, I landed on the setup, which one user can create a group order, and other users can join the buy, edit their own cart, and pay on their sides by using the group order link.
Final Outcome
